Formed in 2018 by bassist and composer Ben Griego, seascape is a Nashville-based, jazz fusion band that merges innovation with tradition to create a truly immersive musical experience. A Belmont University alumnus, Griego founded seascape with a vision to explore the vast possibilities within jazz fusion, blending diverse sonic elements into a captivating soundscape.

seascape embraces its cinematic panoramas, striving to engage audiences with a multi-sensory experience that stimulates both the ears and the eyes, ensuring no two shows are exactly alike. With versatility in wide-ranging compositions, from the driving energy of heavy guitar riffs to the delicate beauty of cello lines, combined with funky bass grooves and intricate keyboard passages, seascape beckons listeners on unique musical voyages.

Released in 2020, their debut album, "Brain Salad," showcases an eclectic mix of original compositions alongside interpretations of works by Hiromi, Duke Ellington, and Joseph Tawadros. seascape’s repertoire continues to evolve, featuring live covers of jazz greats such as Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Roy Hargrove, and Esperanza Spalding, while also offering fresh perspectives on traditional jazz tunes. Just like the ever-changing sea, seascape thrives on its unpredictable fluidity and collaborative nature of its musicians. Dedicated to making jazz accessible and engaging for all ages, seascape emphasizes the beauty, experimentation, and emotional depth inherent in creating jazz music.
